Rest assured that Cambridge Food & Nutrition Services will provide breakfast & lunch to your children as the school year begins. From pick up sites, grab & go meals, or meals served in the classroom, every child will have the opportunity & access to food made with love by their school nutrition staff!

Cambridge Food & Nutrition Services supplyies breakfast & lunch to feed Cambridge students every weekday from 12 - 1PM! Meals will be FREE for all Cambridge students. To find a site nearest you, click here.

Who can receive free meals?
Breakfast and lunch will be FREE for all Cambridge students and any child under the age of 18, until June 30th, 2021.

Distribution Sites
Meals are currently distributed through the following locations:

  • 30 Cambridge Park Drive 
  • 362-364 Rindge Avenue: In front of Fresh Pond Apartments 
  • Baldwin School: Sacramento St. main entrance
  • Cambridgeport School: Elm St. main entrance
  • Dr. Martin Luther King School, Jr.: Loading dock on Kinnaird St.
  • Fletcher Maynard Academy: Harvard Avenue
  • Haggerty School: Cushing St. main entrance
  • Kennedy-Longfellow School: Spring St. second door entrance
  • King Open School: Cambridge St. main entrance
  • Morse School: Granite St. main entrance
  • Peabody School: Rindge Ave. main entrance

Process for Pick-ups:

  • Please come to the location most convenient for you.     
  • Parents/caregivers or students may pick up 1 breakfast bag and 1 lunch bag per child in the household
  • No identification required
  • Masks must be worn to pick up meals
  • Please try to stay at a distance from others while waiting your turn
  • If you are sick, please respect the health of others by staying home and arranging for someone to pick up meals for you

How sites will operate:

Lunch Pickup

  • Food will be prepared every weekday morning by Food & Nutrition Services staff in each school kitchen
  • Each school kitchen will be responsible for producing meals for their pick up sites
  • Tables and serving equipment will be cleaned, sanitized, and set up daily
  • School kitchen staff will set food out on the tables and step away
  • All individuals involved in preparing and handling food and pick up activities will follow proper hand washing technique and safe food handling procedures
  • Each school kitchen will have a staff member who is ServSafe Manager Certified
