The Department of Safety and Security is dedicated to ensuring a safe, secure, disruptive-free learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. The department implements safety and security policies, access control procedures, accident prevention, risk management, fire safety, and emergency management. The department is also responsible for emergency preparedness training and serves as a liaison to police, fire, and the juvenile court.
The department is composed of a staff of 12, which includes a Director, a Senior Safety Specialist, nine Safety Specialists, and a clerk with representatives speaking Haitian Creole and Spanish. Parents, students, and members of the community are encouraged to call 617.349.6772 or email [email protected] to report any situations or disputes involving CPS students. The office is open from Monday through Friday from 7AM - 5PM.
