
The Technical Services Department plays a vital role in supporting and managing the CPS computer network. As technology continues to evolve, our team is dedicated to maintaining a secure, efficient, and forward-looking infrastructure that meets the needs of all CPS users.
Working closely with every department across the district, the Technical Services Team ensures that technology functions reliably throughout the year. We are responsible for a wide range of devices and systems, including desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, VoIP systems, and more. Behind the scenes, we manage the critical infrastructure that keeps the district connected — including wireless access points, network switches, routers, servers (both virtual and physical), web filters, and firewalls.
In addition, we collaborate with the City’s IT Department to provide support for shared technical platforms, ensuring a seamless experience for users across both city and school systems.
