School Improvement Plans

School Improvement Plans (SIPs) are developed every two years by each school team to identify the priority work for their school community. The process of continuous improvement at each school is aligned with the CPS District Plan as a way of bringing coherence and focus to improvement initiatives throughout the district.

For SY 2018-19/2019-20, all schools developed a two (2) year School Improvement Plan that aligns with objectives drawn from five district Strategic Initiatives:
  • Provide all CPS educators with cultural proficiency training and implement ongoing cultural proficiency professional learning in all schools
  • Expand rigorous, joyful, culturally responsive learning experiences
  • Develop and expand effective inclusive practices in all classrooms
  • Implement a social, emotional and behavioral learning framework
  • Engage families as partners with formal ongoing mechanisms that create differentiated opportunities for family voice and engagement
Please click on a school below to view individual School Improvement Plans. Each plan includes a school’s vision, theory of action, specific initiatives and action plans designed to meet the objectives defined above. Schools are in the process of updating their plans to reflect accomplishments to date and the work to be continued in SY 2019-2020.
