Planning for Second Semester

CPS’s goal is to move toward safe, in-person learning options for all students. We know it can be difficult for some families or staff to consider discussing expanding in-person learning when COVID-19 cases are increasing across the country and some CPS schools are experiencing quarantining situations. However, we want to be ready to expand in-person learning when we can. Readiness requires planning now.

This page will be updated with more information about the planning process and key takeaways that emerge along the way.

  • Increase access to safe in-person learning opportunities combined with family choices
  • Address both the academic and social-emotional/ mental health needs of CPS students identified by educators, leaders, families, & students
  • Support all students AND prioritize access for students who need it most
  • Support both in-person and remote learners
  • Support both in-person and remote educators
