- April 6: Superintendent’s Student Design Group, with students representatives in grades 5 - 12 from across the district, reviewed and developed Mission, Vision, Core Values Version 1 of the Mission, Vision, and Core Values. Watch this video to hear from them.
- May 9: Superintendent’s Student Design Group reviews from students across the district and develops Mission, Vision, Core Values Version 2 based on that feedback.
- May: Mission, Vision, Core Values Version 2 shared with community, including families, staff, and partners for additional feedback.
- May 27: Mission, Vision, Core Values Version 3, based on feedback from students, staff, families, and partners shared with the School Committee for discussion at their May 27 retreat.
- June 7: Mission, Vision, and Core Values Version 4, refined based on feedback from School Committee members, presented at the June 7, 2022 School Committee Meeting for Discussion. School Committee makes minor adjustments and adopts Mission, Vision, Core Values Version 5.

- June 13 - July 14: Working Groups on Strategic Objectives and Initiatives
In June and July, small, focused working groups reviewed existing data, findings, and commitments, and provided recommendations to the administration on strategic initiatives, including priorities, sequencing, conditions for success, and interdependencies. The Working Groups are organized around four key areas of work aligned with Superintendent Greer’s Entry Plan:
- Accessible College & Career Pathways
- Ambitious Instruction & Effective Supports
- Effective Staff Learning & Support
- Welcoming & Supportive Schools & District
This report contains the full recommendations of the Working Group. CPS will continue to learn from these recommendations as part of the work ahead.
