COVID-19 Testing Plan: School Year 2023-24

This school year, our COVID testing plan will focus on targeted at-home testing after school breaks. Our four-part plan includes:

  1. Back-to-School Testing: All students and staff will receive a package in the mail with a test kit to use at home before returning to school.
  2. At-Home Symptomatic Testing: All students and staff will receive test supplies to use at home when they feel COVID-19 like symptoms. Supplies will be distributed at school in September and January.
  3. At-Home Targeted Post-Break Testing: All students will receive test supplies to use the morning before returning to school after school breaks. Supplies will be distributed at school the week before Thanksgiving, Winter, February, and April break.
  4. Testing of Symptomatic Students: School nurses will have a supply of test kits in their offices to test students if indicated.

What If You Test Positive:
If you are positive, stay home for 5 days. Contact your school to report your absence. When you return to school on day 6, please wear a mask through day 10. You can end masking sooner, if you test negative twice, with the tests performed 48 hrs apart.

When and How to Take the Test:
iHealth is a 15-minute at-home FDA-approved rapid antigen test.
