As we have excitedly shared, CPS is drafting its next multiyear District Plan. The foundation of this plan is the Vision, Mission, and Core Values, which communicate our shared aspirations, commitments, and values that will drive the work we do as a school community over the next few years.
In alignment with our commitment to elevate student voice, we began this process with students. Over the last month, the Superintendent’s Student Design Group, which is made up of students from grades 5 - 12, developed a draft statement of our Vision, Mission, and Core Values. Earlier this week, the students updated this draft to reflect feedback provided by students from across the district.
It’s time to hear from you! This version, developed by students, may not yet reflect the perspectives of adults - including families, teachers and staff, administrators, and our community partners. That is why we are eager to get your perspective.
Please share your thoughts on how we can make this a stronger statement of the Cambridge Public Schools we will continue to build together.
- Please share your perspective through this survey by Wednesday, May 25.
- We will incorporate the feedback into a final version, which will be shared with the community and brought to the School Committee for adoption in June.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and share your perspectives.
