Zoom Technical Instructions & Troubleshooting

Cambridge Public Schools is implementing a secure online option for making public comment at virtual meetings. Beyond the COVID-19 epidemic, expanding traditional meetings to an online platform will allow us to maximize participation by providing more access options for everyone.

Technology Requirements

  • Desktop Computer, Laptop, Tablet, or Smartphone
  • Speakers/Headphones - Most laptops, tablets, and smartphones have built-in speakers.
  • Internet Connection - It is important to note that the audio and video quality of the connection directly correlates with the quality of your internet connection.

First Time User?

  • To connect via the ZOOM App on your computer, click on the meeting link and you will be automatically prompted to download the App.
  • To connect via the ZOOM App on your smartphone or tablet, you must download the App in advance. Here are instructions for iPhone or Android.
  • If you wish to call in using a telephone number, a ZOOM phone number will be provided to you. Please follow the prompts and enter the provided Meeting ID#.
