What we learned in 2019

Areas of strength within the district:
  • Staff comfort in building relationships with families from different backgrounds.
  • Respect of families toward staff.
  • Staff understanding of IEPs and 504 plans and implementing accommodations.
  • School leaders’ trust in staff to work in the way they think is best.
  • Fairness in how school leadership treat staff.
Areas needing improvement in the district:
  • Supports around social-emotional learning.
  • Value of professional learning opportunities in the district.
  • Supports around inclusive practices.
  • Trust of district leaders to do what they say they will do.
