The new building is located on several bus routes including: 
#69 Bus >> - which runs along Cambridge Street from Harvard Square to Lechmere and stops directly in front of the building
#85 Bus >> - which runs from Spring Hill in Somerville to Kendall/MIT and has stops 1-2 blocks away from the building.

EZRide Shuttle
City of Cambridge employees are eligible to ride this free shuttle service, which runs from North Station through East Cambridge and Kendall Square to portions of the MIT campus and nearby office parks. The shuttle stops at Lechmere station, which is a 15 minute walk or short trip on the #69 bus from the building.

MBTA Pass Subsidies Available for Municipal Employees
Municipal employees are eligible for MBTA Pass Reimbursement Benefit, and for CPS Employees these benefits consist of:
  • Up to $40/month subsidy for all full and part time members of clerical, safety specialist, and Local 1611 (custodial) collective bargaining units.
  • Up to $60/month subsidy for Cambridge Education Association members, administration, full or part time (Units A-E), and family liaison members.
Emergency Ride Home
All permanent employees working 16+ hours a week are eligible for an emergency ride home! To be eligible, you must be pre-registered, and use public transportation, carpools, vanpools, bike or walk to work at least 3 days per week.
  • When an emergency* arises, simply request a ride from Uber, Lyft, or any ridesharing app or cab company you wish
  • Screenshot the receipt on your smart phone or request your receipt after the trip
  • Fill out and return a confirmation report along with receipt to [email protected] and a reimbursement check will be mailed.
  • A maximum of 6 trips per year may be used.

*Personal emergencies may include: illness of participant or family member, flat tire if one's primary method of transportation is biking. Please note that mass transit delays, weather-events, or any trips originating outside of one's workplace are “general emergencies” that do not qualify as a personal emergency and will not be reimbursed.

Free or Discounted Bluebikes Memberships Available to All Municipal Employees
All City of Cambridge employees are eligible for either a reduced rate or free membership to the Bluebikes bike share program. Most CPS employees are eligible for free membership. To learn more and register using the city discount code, click here.
