We are hearing from more families! Our response rate increased by 3 percent last year, and response rates are higher than national benchmarks.
Identifying priorities for building the capacity of families & staff to engage in meaningful, student-centered partnerships.

Areas of strength in the district.

The overall school climate of Cambridge Public Schools is in the 80th percentile nationally.
The family survey response rate increased by 3 percent from last year.
The experiences of families with children in ELL/SEI/ESL and families with children in early grades are consistently very favorable.
Schools' family engagement practices are welcoming and culturally responsive.

Areas needing improvement in the district.

Families do not feel informed about the CPS District Plan and ongoing improvement efforts.
Communication of important information from the district needs improvement.
The biggest barrier to family engagement in schools is busy schedules.
