Follett Software's Aspen Student Information System is a
comprehensive data system for the entire district. Teachers,
administrators, support staff, students, and parents will have accounts
to access secure portions of the data that pertain to them.
Aspen provides these facilities:
- Attendance Management
- Grading and Gradebooks
- Class Scheduling
- Conduct Management
- Extensive Reporting
In addition, a rich collaboration and communication
component enables stakeholders to exchange information through class and
program webpages, targeted emails, and parent and student portals.
Programs and after school activities (clubs, sports, out of school time
programs) will have limited access to ensure seamless support of the
overall academic program. For school staff, a single sign on facility
allows easy access and prevents lost passwords.
Families will have access to homework, assignments, grades,
and report cards online through Aspen--the full academic record of each
child.
Behind the scenes, Aspen's rich data store is connected to
other CPS data systems to provide strong consistency, clean data without
duplicate entry.
