The CPS All-City Music Program is a passion-based district-wide initiative in music. The four All-City ensembles are made up of 6th through 8th grade students across Cambridge Public Schools. The ensembles convene most Wednesday afternoons for rehearsals that culminate in winter and spring concerts in the Fitzgerald Theatre at the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. If you are an upper-schooler passionate about music making, we would love to hear from you and welcome you into the program. The mission of the All-City Music Program is to create and nurture an
inclusive and
passion based city-wide musical community.
Registration for All City 2024-2025 is not yet open! Registration is likely to start in early October. Stay tuned to this Parent Square and this web page for more details regarding available registration forms, rehearsal calendar, available instruments ensembles/instrumentation, and more!
A special notice: Due to all upper schools having early release on Wednesdays this year, All City will now be moving to
Thursdays from 3:45-5PM starting mid-November. A more detailed calendar will be available at the start of registration early October!
A Note on Transportation to All City:
It is important to note that caregivers/families need to arrange transportation home for students after rehearsals or provide permission for them to walk. According to district policy, Cambridge Public School transportation only provides busing transportation for students at schools located more than 1.5 miles from Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (VLUS and RAUC). All other participants are expected to find their own transportation or walk to CRLS. In the past, we’ve been able to allow students/caregivers to develop walking groups from school to school. Additionally, Cambridge Public Schools is not responsible for transportation home from the program."
