Each year, students are recognized with the award of the following college scholarships:
Beatrice Fox, Class of 1940, Memorial Writing Scholarship
A $500 scholarship awarded to a graduating senior who writes and writes well. Candidate is nominated by English Language Arts Faculty.
John A. Rutter Memorial English Literature Scholarship
A $500 scholarship in memory of John Rutter who was an English teacher at CRLS for 25 years. This scholarship is awarded to a student who excels in the study of English Literature. English Language Arts Department nominates a junior for this scholarship. The monetary award is presented in the senior year.
J. Maxwell Joseph Annual Award for Writing
This $500 award is given to a senior planning to enroll in post-secondary study who has shown dedication and motivation as a writer, sought assistance for the improvement of his or her writing skills, and has grown as a writer during his or her time at CRLS.
