Virtual Family-Teacher Conferences

CRLS is offering virtual Family-Teacher Conferences on the following dates: (Not to be confused with Advisor Conferences - You will be meeting with your child's teachers virtually.)

  • Wed., Oct. 27 | 6-8PM
  • Thurs., Oct. 28 | 12-3PM (early dismissal for students after block 2)

Parent Conference Scheduler System Instructions 
1. Visit the CRLS conference web page and click on Sign Up
2. Login to the conference scheduling system. If you have an existing portal account just sign in, If not then, please register and make an account. If you forgot your password, click on Forgot Password? and follow the prompts.
3. After logging in, please select the teachers and time slot that works best for you. (Conferences are 10 minutes in duration.)
4. Select the method you would like for teachers to contact you - Phone or Video (Zoom) meeting. After completing the process, an email will be sent to the email address on file in Aspen with the information.

Tips:

  • Please make sure you don't book overlapping conferences. We added a 5 minute break between conferences in case of delay or technical problem.
  • The teachers will reach out to you during your scheduled time slot. Please make sure you log into your email and check for the link or answer your phone at the time slots you selected.
  • If you cannot make your appointment please cancel in advance so the slot is available for other families by revisiting the scheduling system and clicking on Cancel Appointment.

Friends of CRLS (FOCRLS) Grants

FOCRLS Faculty Innovation GrantsFriends of CRLS (FOCRLS) is seeking grant proposals from teachers, administrators, librarians, guidance counselors, social workers, advisers, and liaisons who have creative ideas for energizing the learning experience for your students.

We will be awarding several grants up to $1,000 each to support educational and social development opportunities such as visits from accomplished guests, field trips, special events, group creations, performances, and service learning experiences.

Proposals are due Wednesday, November 17 at 11:59PM.

COVID19 Information

COVID Information Sessions with Superintendent Greer
Tuesday and Thursday, from 6-7PM
Public health officials and medical experts to answer CPS family questions about the student vaccination requirements and other COVID-related needs. Register now for the Zoom link.

Student Vaccination
By November 22, 2021, all age eligible students must be vaccinated. Failure to obtain a vaccination will not result in exclusion from school.

 Mondays 9th grade students
 Tuesdays  10th Grade Students

Students participating in testing must have signed consent forms on file.

Cambridge School Volunteers (CSV)

CSV is excited to return with in-person tutoring support for the CRLS community.

Drop-in Math Center - Before school (8-8:30AM)
Room 2403
Come by any day for support with all levels of math--no pre-registration required.

Subject-based Tutoring Services - Before school (8-8:30AM) or after school (3:15-4:15PM)
Room 2403 (before school) or Room 2407 (after school)
Meet one-to-one with a tutor once a week to receive support with one or more academic subjects and/or test preparation.

College and Career Mentoring Program - Wednesdays (3:15-4:15PM)
Career & College Resource Center (CCRC), Room 1501
Meet one-to-one with a mentor once a week to explore and plan for your post-secondary life. This can include career and college research, college admission essay help, scholarship application support, etc.
First session: October 20

Seal of Biliteracy

Any CRLS Senior interested in pursuing the Seal of Biliteracy must take the ELA MCAS and a language assessment in order to qualify. Please take the ELA MCAS, if you have not already done so, and fill out this Google Form as soon as possible to schedule a language test. CRLS students in their first, second and third years may also take the Advanced Placement exam to qualify. Please email James Kelleher with any questions.

Best Buddies Club

Hello Everyone,

You may not be aware that the Falcon Friends club is now CRLS Best Buddies. Best Buddies International (BBI) is "the world's largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical, and economic isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

The club plans to host several fundraisers throughout the year in order to raise our chapter dues and also to sponsor events here at CRLS. Our first fundraiser for the year will be representing CRLS in the Boston area Best Buddies Friendship Walk on October 30. We invite you to consider making a donation. AP Exam Registration Deadline

For students taking a full-year and/or first semester AP course, registration for taking the AP exam is due November 4th. Students enrolled in second semester AP courses can register for those exams beginning at the start of the new semester.

Registration is a 3 Step Process:

1. Go to myap.collegeboard.org and "join class" using the registration code provided by your AP teacher.
2. When you join the class, your exam indicator defaults to Undecided. You MUST change this to YES if you want to take the exam.
3. Submit payment. Please use My School Bucks to complete your AP Registration (Here is a quick video on how to complete payment)

Each exam is $96. If you qualify for free/reduced lunch, the fee is $15 per exam.

Registration and Payment must be submitted before November 4th at 3:30PM.
