Transitioning – Student of Color to a Predominantly White Institution
Thursday, May 25th | During period 2 (9:48 - 11:08AM)
The Guidance Department will be hosting this second panel for seniors. Several CRLS alumni, some who are still in college and others who have graduated, will join us to share their transitioning and acclimation experiences as a person of color on a campus where there are relatively few who look like, act like, or perhaps relate to themselves.

The panel is open to all students and is designed to be uplifting and influential to the seniors at CRLS as they prepare to face the world of higher education. However, the dialogue will be specifically from the perspective of a SOC.

The ultimate goal is to help our graduating seniors to understand that the rest of the world does not look like Rindge or even Cambridge. The sharing will be real, scary, true, but not discouraging. All are encouraged to come and in engage in the conversation.

If you are interested, please sign up at the College Counseling and Resource Center (CCRC, Room 1501).
