FMA Courageous Conversations
March 14 | 5-7PM
Join us for the first of two meetings for this year’s Courageous Conversations. During this meeting, FMA parents, faculty and staff, and community leaders will build on a foundation of empathy to discuss diversity and equity at the school. Using an anthropological framework that relies on each person being able to see the topic from different perspectives, we will focus on how power functions in everyday conversations about youth and their education. We will also explore Paulo Freire’s notion of teaching as an act of love.
Email or text Uche @ [email protected] or 617.642.8657 if you plan on attending. Child Care and a light dinner will be provided.
