Important Information for the VLUS Graduating Class of 2015
This is a wonderful time for the Vassal Lane Upper School community as our eighth graders look ahead with great anticipation to completing middle school and graduation to a new phase of their lives filled with exciting opportunities for academic and personal growth. We are proud of the accomplishments of your soon-to-be graduate, as I am sure you are.

In preparation for the June 23, 2015 graduation ceremony and end-of-year activities, we are providing information as an overview of the schedule and upcoming events.

A Reminder of VLUS Dress Code
With temperatures rising, students have been dressing to beat the heat. During this time of year we would want families to be mindful of the VLUS dress code.

Is your child interested in joining Pop Warner Football/Cheerleading?
Middle School students are encouraged to join! The season will start August 3 at Russell Filed and ends October 31.  Registration is $60. Scholarships are available based on first come first serve basis. Next Registration date is May 23 at Donnelly Field from 10AM to 12Noon, or you can fill out the attached registration and submit forms to Kini Griffin, School counselor.

Cambridge ELL Summer Enrichment for English Language Arts
Vassal Lane (197 Vassal Lane)
A free five week summer program for English Language Learners (ELL) students from Cambridge Public Schools entering grades 6 - 8 in September 2015. Students will enhance their skills in English, math, science, and social skills. In addition, the ELL program offers a combination of sport activities including Martial Arts. Transportation and a light lunch will be provided. Learn more >>

Summer programs for current 5th-7th Graders
The CPS Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) department is offering three summer math programs for students who will be entering Grades 6-8 in September 2015.
