Thank You!
Thank you Cambridge Rotary for your gift of dictionaries for each third grader. Before the visit from the Rotarian, we read Noah Webster & His Words and looked at primary sources - Webster’s edited pages for his first dictionary.

Author Visit
Author Farhana Zia visited with 4th and 2nd graders on Monday, Feb. 27. She brought many items from her book Hot, Hot Roti for Dada-ji for the students to explore. We tried our hand at making roti, wrapping a sari and greeting each other with “Namaste.”

Author Aaron Becker Coming!
A. BeckerMarch is a month of reading celebrations at Haggerty. We kick off the month with Read Across America at our Friday assembly and end with a whole school visit with author/illustrator Aaron Becker. If you have a copy of Journey, Quest, or Return that you would like him to sign, please have your child bring it to school on March 28th, or before.

100th Day

100 DAYS of School!
On Friday, February 10th we celebrated our 100th day of school for this year! This milestone is a big day in our JK/K classrooms! There were creations of 100 item collections - at home and at school. Ms. Doherty's classroom drew pictures of what they might look when they are 100 and Ms. Healy downloaded an app so kids could age photos of their current faces into their future elderly selves!
