Message from Family Liaison


Dear Morse Community,

Happy Thursday! Only three more days till spring! We’re excited for our upcoming Family Gym and Game Night taking place tomorrow 3.18.22 from 6-8PM! All families and the Morse community are welcome to join. We’re reminding all parents/caregivers that children must be accompanied at all times for the entirety of the event.

Celebrating Women’s History Month


Karine Jean-Pierre portrait
Karine Jean-Pierre is an American political campaign organizer, activist, political commentator, and author of French Caribbean heritage. Since January 2021, she has been White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary in the Biden-Harris Administration. Following graduate school, Jean-Pierre worked as the director of legislative and budget affairs for New York City councilor James F. Gennaro. In 2006, she was hired as the outreach coordinator for Walmart Watch in Washington, D.C.Jean-Pierre was the southeast regional political director for John Edwards' presidential campaign in 2008. She joined the Columbia University faculty in 2014, where she is a lecturer in international and public affairs.

Understanding Islam


Wednesday, March 23 | 7-8:30PM 
North Cambridge Courageous Conversations will be holding a a community workshop on Understanding Islam with guest speaker, Dr. Khalil Abdur-Rashid, who is the Muslim Chaplain at Harvard University. We will also have small group discussion and an opportunity for Q&A.

All members of the Cambridge school community are welcomed to attend.

Updates & Important Announcements


Our School Council Meeting - regularly scheduled for (3/17) - has been postponed until next Thursday, March 24th (6-7:30 PM), to avoid a conflict with Superintendent Greer's budget presentation to the School Committee.

The virtual Parent Workshop on Restorative Practices originally scheduled for 3/24 will be postponed to Thursday April 7th from 6-7 PM.
