ELA MCAS and Family Conference Schedule (March 21-25)
"Dear CRLS Families, Caregivers and Students,
Along with the CRLS graduation requirements, students must pass the English Language Arts, Math and Science MCAS tests in order to earn their high school diploma. Spring MCAS testing is approaching and the ELA MCAS will be administered to 10th grade and select students on Tuesday 3/22 & Wednesday 3/23.
The schedule for the week of 3/21 is below and continues on the next page. It includes the class schedule for ELA MCAS test dates as well as the schedule for Family Conference dates on 3/24 and 3/25..."

Family Conferences
In a continued effort to strengthen relationships with families and to support student achievement, CRLS will offer Virtual Family-Teacher Conferences on March 23, 24, and 25th. Registration will open on March 7, 2022.

Schedule:
- Wednesday, March 23, 2022 | 6 - 8PM
- Thursday, March 24, 2022 | 8:30 - 11:30AM (delayed opening for students- students arrive for block 3 or lunch A)
- Friday, March 25, 2022 | 12Noon - 3PM (early dismissal for students after block 2)
With the online registration service, parents/guardians can:
- Select if they prefer a phone call or a video conference.
- Register for conferences 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the registration period.
- In two simple steps, schedule a conference by choosing an available conference time slot.
- View, print, and email their conference schedule.
- Return at any time to reschedule a conference.
- After registering for a conference, the teachers will send the meeting link to you.

Spring Play Information Meeting

The CRLS Drama Department invites all who are interested in auditioning for the spring plays to attend a SPRING PLAY INFORMATION MEETING.
This is an evening of short plays directed by faculty and members of the spring Directing class. The performance will be in our Black Box Theater!

The application for the CRLS Global Studies Certificate Program (GSC) for the 2022-23 school year is open for students as of today. 9th and 10th grade CRLS students are eligible to apply.

Earn FREE college credits while experiencing college life!
The Early College Program is a pilot partnership between CRLS and Lesley University that allows students to earn college credit while exploring career opportunities through structured pathways.
There are no prerequisites to apply, and the program's focus is on equitable access for students traditionally underserved by higher education including Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) students; students who are first in their family to attend college (first-generation) students on Free and Reduced lunch, and students with disabilities. The program is open to students who will be in 10th, 11th, and 12th grade next year.

Scholarship Opportunities for Seniors
Calvin Hicks Award for the Study of Music -- 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th Graders are Eligible!
If you're just TUNING in.... Friends of CRLS will present this $500 scholarship to a student in any grade (9, 10, 11, 12) at any music level, beginner to virtuoso, to study any instrument, voice, or music theory. The awardee may use the funds to take music lessons, a class, a workshop, or a summer program at any accredited music school, whether or not in pursuit of a college degree, OR to take music lessons independently with a licensed instructor. Who is eligible?
- Current CRLS students ONLY who are 12 years old or older, and who received their 2nd Pfizer COVID vaccine 5 or more months ago OR their 2nd Moderna COVID vaccine 6 or more months ago
When?
- Teen Health will be offering BOOSTER vaccines every Tuesday from 8:30AM - 3PM
Call 617.665.1548 or walk-in to the clinic to schedule an appointment in person. NO WALK-IN APPOINTMENTS, you must schedule in advance.
- Anyone 12-15 years old must come to the appointment with a parent/guardian.
- Anyone 16 -17 years old may come alone but must have two signed consent forms (one from the state and one from CHA)*.
- Anyone 18 years old and above may come alone.
*You can either pick up the consent forms from Teen Health OR you can print them out here:

CPS Free Internet Essentials Program
Cambridge Public Schools continues to partner with Comcast to connect eligible families to the Internet Essentials Program, which offers affordable internet service, low-cost computers, and digital literacy training.
As a part of our continued efforts to close the digital divide, CPS, through the Emergency Connectivity Grant (ECF), has purchased hundreds of pre-paid vouchers for free internet service through June 30, 2022.

Come by any day for support with all levels of math and/or science--no pre-registration required.
Subject-based Tutoring Services - Before school (8-8:30AM) or after school (3:15-4:15PM)

Meet one-to-one with a tutor once a week to receive support with one or more academic subjects and/or test preparation.
