Dear Families
I hope to see you all at our Latinx Heritage Celebration tonight from 6-8PM. A I mentioned last week, we will have live music, a student performance, childcare and activities for Jk-5 students. You are encouraged to bring a dish to share but if you can't, we will be providing food as well. Please remember that for their safety, children must remain with parents at all times or participate in classroom activities. Students must not be outside of the school building without supervision or in unauthorized parts of the building.
At the ASC meeting this past Wednesday, we heard from Nurse Tracy Rose-Tynes about the vaping crisis. She gave an excellent presentation and provided attendees with lots of information. One of the most important take-aways is that we have to educate our young people on the dangers of vaping and we need to start before they get to middle school. For resources about what parents should know:
For resources about support/quitting:
At Back To School Night, many of you showed interest in Spanish Classes for Amigos parents. We are in the beginning stages of making this a reality and with your help, it could be up and running shortly. Please know that the aim would be for these classes to be accessible to ALL interested Amigos families. We are dedicated to addressing financial barriers so that we can include any parent from our school who is interested in participating. If you are interested, please take a moment to fill out the form below. It will help us to better design a program that meets your needs.

See you at the Fiesta!

Estimadas Familias
