Dear Families

sarahPlease mark your calendars for next Friday's Latinx Celebration at Amigos School. This year we will have live music, a student performance, childcare and activities for JK-5 students. You are encouraged to bring a dish to share but if you can't, we will be providing food as well. We are asking families who are interested in childcare to register by sending an email to Lissette Castillo.

In the coming week, the families of students in grades 4 to 8 should be receiving their child's MCAS scores, which include results from the MCAS tests that were given in English Language Arts, Mathematics and Science to students in the Spring of 2018. While MCAS is only one way to measure the achievement of our students, it is important due to the emphasis placed on it by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Should you have any questions about your child’s report, please don’t hesitate to contact the coaches or teachers. At the school level, we use these results, in part, to determine which students may need targeted support in a particular area or with a particular standard. MCAS scores are not included in your child’s grades or on the regular report card.

Thank you, and have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Sarah Bartels-Marrero
Principal

Estimadas Familias

Atentamente,

Sarah Bartels-Marrero
Directora
