CRLS Connects Summer 2018 Chromebook Distribution
CRLS Connects is a comprehensive program at CRLS that aims to provide support and access to technology resources for all students and teachers. In SY16-17 all CRLS teachers were provided a laptop/tablet computer that allows for more flexible, efficient and innovative teaching and collaboration. In SY17-18 all CRLS 9th grade students received a school-issued Chromebook laptop to support their academic work both in and out of school. In addition, twenty-one teachers, who primarily support students in grades 10-12, received a class set of Chromebook laptops allowing daily access to digital resources in support of instruction.
The Chromebooks are on loan to students and remain the property of CPS. Students will have access to the Chromebook 24/7 during their enrollment at CRLS.

Math Summer Packets
Is your student taking a math class next school year during the fall? If the answer is “YES” then they have a summer assignment called a math pre-course packet.
Pre-course packets feature skills and material that your student needs to know before they begin their math class in September. Finishing the packet before the first day of class is a requirement and teachers may give a test or quiz on the packet material or they might count the packet as part of your student’s homework grade. View the Packets >>
They can also be found in the Learning Community S office located on the 2nd floor of the Rindge Building in room 2119.
If your student has any questions, please have them talk with their current math teacher or see Dean of Curriculum Jeff Gaglione in the Learning Community S office.

A Note from the Health Office
Dear CRLS Parent/Guardians;
We, the school nurses at CRLS, would like to welcome your child to high school. We look forward to taking care of your child and helping to ensure a productive and healthy school year. Please notify us if your child has any life-threatening allergies or health concerns.
It is against school policy for a student to carry or self-administer medications in school other than an epi-pen or an asthma inhaler. If your student requires a prescribed or an over the counter medication during school hours, we will administer that medication with parental consent.
**Make sure that the school nurse has an updated copy of your child’s immunization record and a recent physical exam**
