Find out What it Means to Me

Respect: Find Out What It Means To Me is a dramatic investigative theater piece based on taped and transcribed interviews from the Cambridge community and beyond. It is written by Betsy Bard, directed by Vincent Earnest Siders and performed by youth ambassadors from the Underground Railway Theater. Learn more >>


Mayor's Summer Youth Employment Program (MSYEP)
MSYEP applications will be available starting on April 15th, and can be returned between April 27th and May 8th.  Every teen applying MUST have their original Social Security Card. Learn more >>


BHCC Summer Carer Day Program
July 6 - 17, 2015 | 9AM - 3PM
The program is free and students can choose between classes in: Culinary and Pastry Arts, Engineering, Game Design, Introduction to Cybersecurity, Introduction to Health Careers and Designing Mobile Apps. This program is available to rising juniors, seniors, and College Freshmen.

Mount Auburn

Mt. Auburn Hospital Summer Hospital Volunteer Program Applications Now Available
Are you interested in a health care related career? Find out more about careers in health care by volunteering at Mt. Auburn Hospital this summer. The program begins June 29, 2015. All applications will need to be submitted to the Mt. Auburn Hospital by May 5, 2015.

Student volunteers must be at least 14 years of age, have a physical exam, a TB test, a personal interview (before June 8) and be available to work at least one day a week for at least a six week period over the summer.

For an application, please see Mrs. Garman in RM 1308 (near Carpentry) or Jeanne in the CCRC RM 1501.

Let's Talk about Relationships
Young Women of CRLS! Are you interested in joining your peers in great conversation about relationships? Every Thursday in the Teen Health Conference Room, both lunches.  We provide the pizza, you decide the topics you wish to discuss. Join a great, ongoing group. Girls only, but tell your guy friends about their opportunity every Thursday in the RSTA conference room. Come on your own or bring your friends.

Guys! Are you "hungry" for good conversation? Every Thursday Lunch A or B, come to the RSTA conference room (#1312), for a guys only discussion group about relationships - come enjoy pizza and discussion with fellow CRLS guys. You decide the topics. Come on your own or bring friends.

Parents! Please consider sharing your skills, experience, and insights with a CRLS senior who is eager to contribute to your work!

The CRLS Senior Internship Program is currently seeking second semester placements for senior interns. Internship candidates have expressed interest in the following fields, and we would love to hear what else might be out there:

Health Care, Journalism, Fashion, Politics, Human Rights, Business, Science, Physical Therapy, Veterinary Science/Animal Care

If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about supervising a CRLS Intern, please contact Kathleen FitzGerald at 617.349.4946. The program runs during 3rd and 4th blocks (12:15 - 2:30PM) Monday - Friday, except alternating Fridays when students attend an in-school seminar, from February through May, 2015. These are unpaid internships.

Free SAT Prep for Juniors
SAT prep is an important opportunity for Juniors planning to apply to college and preparing for the SAT this Spring. This prep course will focus on SAT test-taking strategies and practice tests for math, critical reading, and grammar. Sessions meet Wednesdays from 2:45 to 4:15PM in the Media Cafe area (join anytime). Free pizza.

The next SAT test is May 2nd, so not to miss weekly sessions.

Upward Bound

MIT/Wellesley Upward Bound Program is Recruiting 9th Graders
The MIT/Wellesley Upward Bound Program provides after school tutoring during the school year and a six-week residential summer program at Wellesley College. Upward Bound offers academic support and college preparation guidance including college tours and senior seminars. Both the school year and summer session offer various recreational and cultural activities and field trips.

Breakthrough is looking for teachers and tutors for our after school program. You will get hands-on classroom experience teaching and mentoring 6-10 middle school students. Attention Seniors: Presentation on How to Read Your
College Financial Aid Letter

The presentation will focus on understanding your award, how to distinguish the difference between financial aid and to emphasize smart financial decision-making into your college decision process. There are currently two presentations scheduled at the CCRC for:
