Hour of Code

Hour of Code
We live in a world surrounded by technology. And we know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly hinge on understanding how technology works. But only a tiny fraction of us are learning computer science, and fewer students are studying it than a decade ago. Read more >>

Tom Turkey

A Thank You From Tom Turkey
Tom Turkey would like to say a special thank all the students, families and staff that participated in the 19th Annual November Reading Project and raising $357! He is thrilled with his new colorful feather tail of 1,156 paper feathers (each feather represents a book read, and .25 cents paid to add the paper feather to his tail). Read more >>

Cards

Greeting Card Project
My 1st – 5th grade English learners have been working on improving their writing skills. I wanted to share an exciting project students will be doing for the holiday season. I have been collecting old holiday, birthday, and other cards (thank you to all who graciously donated cards to be recycled for this cause). Read more >>

Awards Ceremony for Grades 3 - 5
The first quarter Award Ceremony took place in the Auditorium on Monday, November 17th. All students from grades 3, 4 & 5 gathered for the ceremony. Here is a list of recipients. Keep up the good work! View the Recipients >>

The New Newsletter Format
This is the second edition of the new formatted “Morse Messenger”. As you may have noticed last month, the Morse Messenger was emailed to many of you and a hard copy was also sent home. This process will continue for the next few months, possibly through the end of the school year. Some simply love the electronic version, some like to have the printed version and some like both. As a result a system is being worked out, so that you may choose which option you would prefer. This maybe piloted in one or two grade levels before June. So please be on the lookout.
