FMA Trip to MIT Edgerton Center
By: Ms. Sullivan
Second graders took a trip to the MIT Edgerton Center for an experiment in trial and error engineering through the Lego Car Rally program! In this program, students were provided Lego kits to build cars with partners. They could adjust wheel size, number of wheels, number of axles, length, height, and weight of their cars. Then, they received points for each car they made based on its tilt ability and the distance it was able to travel from a ramp. Students could build as many cars as they wanted to try to make the perfect design and accumulate the most points! They learned that weight and height matter a lot when it comes to engineering cars! They also learned to work as a team and have fun!

Winter Solstice Celebration
On December 21st, the longest night of the year, the preschool class celebrated the winter solstice. We had two parent volunteers to help us; big thanks to Christopher's mom and Aria's dad! Welcome, winter!

FMA Cares!
By: Ms. Harris
We were wondering if you could give our teacher, Ms Waddell a day off because she works really hard, no matter what us kids do. She never gives up and she is very serious with the things she does. Also, she does nice stuff for us, so we thought we should do something nice for her. She is the best teacher ever!
