Estimadas familias,
Por fin llegó el clima caliente y siempre es maravilloso ver cómo los estudiantes disfrutan del sol y de los minutos adicionales al aire libre. En días de mucho calor usamos la Guía de Pronóstico del Tiempo para ayudarnos a decidir si hace demasiado calor para salir afuera a jugar. Sin embargo, ¡la mayoría de los días estaremos afuera!
Con el fin del mes de mayo a la vista, estamos culminando el periodo de evaluaciones. Todos los estudiantes trabajaron duro para desempeñar su mejor trabajo en los exámenes de PARCC y MCAS, por lo que les agradezco su esfuerzo.
El Club de las Matemáticas Olímpicas anunció esta semana que Sebastián Prasanna en el 4to grado recibió la puntuación más alta del club. Sebastián sacó correctamente todos los problemas en todas las evaluaciones de las competencias y recibirá un trofeo por sus esfuerzos. ¡Bravo, Sebastian!
La semana que viene no enviaré un boletín ya que estaré disfrutando de la ciudad de Nueva York con los estudiantes del octavo grado. Este es su viaje culminante en el cuál estaremos visitando El Museo del Barrio, Broadway, la Isla de Ellis y otras atracciones de NYC.

Dear Families,
The warm weather has finally arrived and it is always so wonderful to see the students enjoying the sun and a few extra minutes outside. On days that are extremely hot we use the Child Care Weather Watch Guide to help us decide if it is too hot to go out and play. However, most days we will be outside!
With the end of May in sight, we are wrapping up our assessment window. The students all worked hard to do their best on both the PARCC and MCAS tests and I thank them for their efforts.
The Amigos Math Olympiad Club announced this week that Sebastian Prasanna in 4th grade received the highest score for our club. Sebastian got every problem on every competition test correct and will receive a trophy for his efforts. Bravo, Sebastian!
There will be no newsletter next week, as I will be enjoying New York City with our 8th graders. This is their culminating trip and we will be visiting El Museo del Barrio, Broadway, Ellis Island and other great NYC sights.
