Luisa de Paula Santos

LUISA DE PAULA SANTOS is a worker, policy analyst, and now elected member of the Cambridge School Committee. She brings to this role the frontline perspective of a paraprofessional and the commitment to justice of a lifelong advocate for working families.

Member de Paula Santos understands that excellent schools are the heart of a thriving community. Her experience working directly with students in Cambridge classrooms showed her the power of education for liberation and the critical importance of supporting every student, caregiver, and educator. She has dedicated herself to making sure Cambridge schools are places where every child is valued, and every worker is respected.

Elected in 2025, Member de Paula Santos’ mission is to foster a strong culture in our school district of respect, transparency, and accountability. She believes in a collaborative approach to governance that brings educators, families, and the community to the table to build solutions together. Her focus is on ensuring all our students have the resources and opportunities they deserve, and that our schools are pillars of stability and promise for every Cambridge neighborhood.

Member de Paula Santos is a first-generation immigrant and holds a graduate degree in Urban Policy and Planning.
