Message from Family Liaison
Dear Morse Community,
Happy Friday Junior! So excited that spring is finally here… Despite the heavy rainfall!
Looking forward to brighter days and lots of sunshine! What an awesome turnout we had last Friday? It was nice seeing parents and caregivers come out and enjoy Our family gym and game night!
Celebrating Women’s History Month
Leondra Kruger (1976), Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of California.
Born in Glendale, California, Kruger grew up in south Pasadena. Her mother, Audrey Reid, immigrated to the United States from Jamaica and her late father, Leon Kruger, was an American Jew whose parents had immigrated to the U.S. from Europe. Kruger's parents were both pediatrician She attended polytechnic school in Pasadena, California and was a National Merit scholar. She then earned a Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude from Harvard university where she wrote for The Harvard Crimson and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She then attended Yale Law School graduating in 2001 with a Juris Doctor. Kruger served as editor-in-chief of the Yale Law Journal and was the first Black woman ever to hold the position.
School Council Meeting TONIGHT
Thursday, March 24th | 6-7:30PM
Our School Council meeting will take place tonight. At our meeting, Dr. Leith will share updates, answer questions and solicit input on various school initiatives. All Morse school parents, and caregivers are invited to attend. If you would like to attend, please reach out to me or Dr. Leith. You will receive a zoom link via email one hour prior to the meeting.
