Nuestro equipo de Amigos quiere desearles a ustedes y a los suyos unas felices y saludables vacaciones de invierno. Siempre somos mejores cuando trabajamos juntos y agradecemos a nuestras familias por su ayuda por hacer más agradable esta primera parte de un año que ha sido desafiante.
Estudiantes de la escuela intermedia
A todos l@s estudiantes de la escuela intermedia se les ha asignado un Chromebook con un cargador. Ambos tienen que venir a la escuela cada día y volver a casa en la tarde. Observamos que un gran porcentaje de estudiantes olvidan sus Chromebooks y/o no los traen cargados y listos para la clase. Por favor, compruebe que su hij@ tiene su Chromebook cargado en su mochila y lo trae a la escuela cada mañana.
Espíritu escolar
Día del pijama
Nuestro consejo estudiantil recientemente elegido está organizando un día de pijamas para toda la escuela y será el 23 de diciembre - el día antes de nuestras vacaciones de invierno. L@s estudiantes y el personal están invitados a participar en este evento.
Valores escolares: Compasión, Perseverancia e Integridad
Esta semana durante la clase de arte l@s estudiantes de 4 a 8 grado demostraron compasión al participar en un proyecto de bondad significativo. En un esfuerzo para apoyar a los supervivientes de la Escuela Secundaria de Oxford, nuestr@s estudiantes crearon imágenes y mensajes motivadores usando platos de papel. La semana que viene, la consejera Ms. Santos enviará las obras de arte directamente a los consejeros de la escuela en Michigan. La idea es llevar positividad y una sonrisa a su comunidad escolar que está muy dolida en este momento. Nuestros pensamientos y deseos están con las víctimas de esta tragedia escolar sin sentido. ¿Quiénes somos? ¡Somos Amigos!
Al embarcarnos en un nuevo año, les deseo 12 meses de salud, 52 semanas de risas, 365 días de diversión, 8760 horas de alegría, 525600 minutos de paciencia y 31536000 segundos de felicidad. ¡Feliz Año Nuevo!

Dear Amigos Families,
Our Amigos Team wants to wish you and yours a very happy and healthy winter break! We are always better when we work together and we thank our families for helping make this first part of a challenging year more enjoyable.
Upper School Students
All upper school students have been assigned a Chromebook with a charger. Both need to come to school each day and go home each afternoon. We are having a challenge with a large percentage of students forgetting their Chromebooks and/or not having them charged and ready for class. Please check that your student has their Chromebook charged and in their backpack to bring to school each morning.

Pajama Day
Our recently elected student council is organizing a SCHOOL-WIDE pajama day on December 23 - the day before our winter break. Students and staff are invited to participate in this event.
School Values: Compassion, Perseverance and Integrity
This week during art class students from 4-8th grade demonstrated compassion by participating in a meaningful kindness project. In an effort to support the survivors from Oxford High School, our students created motivational pictures and messages using paper plates. Next week, Guidance Counselor Ms. Santos will be shipping the artwork directly to the school counselors in Michigan. The idea is to bring positivity and a smile to their school community who are very much still hurting right now. Our thoughts and well wishes are with the victims of this senseless school tragedy. ¿Quiénes somos? Somos Amigos!

Water Bottle Classroom Initiative
for 1st and 3rd Graders
 1st and 3rd Graders
The Cambridge Healthy Smiles program completed its annual Water Bottle Classroom Initiative this month. Students in Grades 1 and 3 received a personal water bottle to use at school to promote oral health. The program visits classrooms to teach an oral health lesson about the benefits of drinking water and how to take care of their teeth during their school day. Parents of 1st and 3rd graders are given an opportunity to ask questions they may have about their family’s dental health filling out this survey.

6th Graders
