OUR WELLNESS FAIR IS HERE!
Amigos will hold a Virtual Wellness Fair hosted by FOA on TOMORROW, May 1st from 10AM-1PM. There will be multiple short workshops such as dance, strength training, cooking, healthy relationships, social emotional health, and more! This event is open to the entire Amigos community - choose which sessions to attend throughout the day. We hope to see you there!
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week! Teacher Appreciation Week is celebrated during the first full week of May each year. In 2021, it’s May 3-7. Specifically, National Teacher’s Day falls on the Tuesday of Teacher Appreciation Week—May 4, 2021. Please take a moment to thank your teachers for all their hard work and dedication.
MCAS
As you know from Superintendent Salim’s previous communications, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is administering the MCAS assessment this year.
- The tests will be shorter than in normal years.
- Remote students will be able to take the assessment at home (more information to come).
- We will be administering MCAS starting on May 10th. You can see a detailed schedule below.
- If for any reason your child will not participate, please email me
by May 7th.
- Please make sure to visit the district MCAS page where many of your common questions are answered.

Amigos tendrá una Feria Virtual de Bienestar organizada por FOA el 1 de mayo de 10AM-1PM. Habrá múltiples talleres cortos de baile, entrenamiento de fuerza, cocina, relaciones saludables, salud socio-emocional, ¡y más! La próxima semana es la Semana de Agradecimiento a los Profesores. La Semana de Agradecimiento a los Profesores se celebra durante la primera semana completa de mayo de cada año. En 2021, será del 3 al 7 de mayo. Específicamente, el Día Nacional del Maestr@ cae en el martes de la Semana de Apreciación de l@s Maestr@s, el 4 de mayo de 2021. Por favor, tomen un momento para agradecer a sus maestr@s por todo su duro trabajo y dedicación.
MCAS
Como usted sabe de las comunicaciones anteriores del Superintendente Salim, el Departamento de Educación Primaria y Secundaria está administrando la evaluación MCAS este año.
