Dear Families,

We are excited to welcome back additional in-person students for the second semester on Monday. Please note the following:

All students must come to school everyday with:

• 3 masks
  
• Chromebooks and chargers
  
• Warm clothes for outside time- gloves/mittens, hats
  
• Water bottle
  

If you need support with any of these items, please contact Lillian Rater.

Please review with your child that they must wash or sanitize their hands upon entering school, before lunch, after lunch, before and after recess and before dismissal. A presentation on safety at school can be found here and in my virtual office. You can watch our district videos related to safety here. Also, please know that any student who has a cell phone must have the phone off and put away during the entire day.

With what is the last major shift for this school year (hopefully), it is important to note that switching from remote learning to in-person learning is considered from here on out a COVID-19 Hardship request. If you are travelling during school time, your child can not simply switch to a remote group. You will have to follow the same procedures as were required prior to COVID. If a student must be home due to quarantine, we will work with them to develop an individual plan.

Estimadas familias, Estamos muy contentos de dar la bienvenida a l@s estudiantes presenciales adicionales para el segundo semestre el lunes. Por favor, tengan en cuenta lo siguiente:

Todos l@s estudiantes deben venir a la escuela todos los días con:

Por favor, recuerden a sus hij@s que deben lavarse o desinfectarse las manos al entrar en la escuela, antes de comer, después de comer y antes de salir. Pueden encontrar una presentación sobre los protocolos de seguridad para el aprendizaje presencial aquí y en mi oficina virtual. También, por favor, sepan que cualquier estudiante que tenga un teléfono celular debe tener el teléfono apagado y guardado durante todo el día.

Con lo que es el último cambio grande para este año escolar (esperamos), es importante tener en cuenta que el cambio de la enseñanza a distancia a la presencial se considera de ahora en adelante una solicitud de dificultad o “hardship". Si usted está de viaje durante el calendario escolar, su hij@ no puede simplemente cambiar a un grupo remoto. Tendrá que seguir los mismos procedimientos que se requerían antes de COVID. Si un@ estudiante debe estar en casa debido a una cuarentena, trabajaremos con él/ella/elle para desarrollar un plan individual.
