Dear Families,

Yesterday, Superintendent Salim sent out a message sharing with you that there has been an increase in regional COVID-19 data that may result in a potential temporary shift to remote learning for all students. This is not going to happen for now. Last night, the School Committee voted to adopt updated metrics recommended by CPS’s scientific advisors to reflect local Cambridge data for two of our three metrics. In alignment with these revised guidelines, CPS school buildings will remain open and we will continue our current in-person learning model for students currently in school. You can find more information about the updated metrics and school department COVID case numbers on our website as well as sign up for the daily CPSD metrics newsletter.

Over the past few weeks we have been working on family/teacher conferences and curricular events. As always, it is wonderful to see and interact with our families. If you were unable to attend the classroom events, please find a link to all our JK-5 classroom open house/curricular events on page 2 of my virtual office. Upper School events will be shared in the upcoming week.

Please be reminded that next week we have an Amigos School Council meeting on Wednesday from 6-8PM and a Courageous Conversations Event on Thursday from 7:30-9:00PM.

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Sarah Bartels-Marrero
Principal

Estimadas Familias,

Atentamente,

Sarah Bartels-Marrero
