Estimadas Familias

Sinceramente,

Sarah Bartels-Marrero
Directora

Dear Families

As part of Black History Month, our upper school students had the opportunity to hear from Ms. Pilar Tucker. Ms. Tucker is a Mental Health Counselor and Clinical Psychology Doctoral candidate at William James College. She is also the founder and CEO of “Empower Our Crown, LLC”, where she provides various opportunities for women and girls of color to enhance their mental health and wellness, self-love, and leadership skills. Empower Our Crown’s mission is “ to build and transform communities of color through provision of empowerment workshops, leadership and educational trainings, mental health and wellness practices and proactive engagement in the community”. Ms. Tucker spoke to students about her life experiences, her company and how each student is their own superhero. It was a wonderful presentation and we thank her for inspiring us.

Please remember to take the CPS Family Survey. The online survey takes about 15 minutes to complete. If you would prefer to take this survey on paper, we also have a pdf version which can be returned to Ms. Rater, our Family Liaison. The survey will be open until March 13. I encourage you to share your opinions with us. It really makes a difference!

Have a great weekend and a wonderful vacation week!

Sincerely,

Sarah Bartels-Marrero
Principal
