Fifth Grade Update
 Last week our 5th graders learned all about the Constitutional Amendments. The students wrote about a chosen amendment, along with working examples of how it affects our country today.
Flag Raising Ceremony
 Our long standing tradition of our Flag Raising Ceremony was a beautiful morning. Mrs. Bourne, our librarian read the book All Are Welcome by Alexandra Penfold and Suzanne Kaufman. The Early Bird Singers performed several songs. Finally, in Peabody fashion, we then "danced it in".
Cambridge Weekend Backpack Program
Dear Peabody Community:
The Cambridge Weekend Backpack program will begin again on Friday, October 4th. This program sends healthy food home for the weekend for children who may need a bit extra when the school cafeteria is not available to them. The CWBP helps ensure that children are receiving nutritious meals and are coming to school ready to learn on Mondays.
We rely on parent volunteers to pick up the food and pack it into bags on Friday mornings. This year we are looking for new drivers to pick up the food and bring it to Peabody. If you think you can help, please contact Ellen van Bever.
