Message from Principal Chad Leith
Dear members of the Morse School community,
This was a busy week at the Morse School, culminating in exciting publishing parties in our 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade classrooms! I want to thank the teachers and paraprofessionals who have helped guide our students towards completing and sharing such engaging projects. I also want to acknowledge and appreciate the many family members who were able to stop in and celebrate our children’s accomplishments at these events.
Our teachers, specialists and students have also been busy learning about the stories and contributions of African, African American and Afro-Caribbean leaders, authors, scientists and artists. Next time you visit our school, please check out the some of the beautiful displays posted on our classroom doors and bulletin boards to honor and celebrate Black History Month!
I wish all members of the Morse School community a safe and restful vacation. No matter what you have planned for the coming week, please remember to set aside some time each day for your child to read the books they have taken out from our school library. Please also remember that your local Cambridge Public Library will be open for most of the February Break, and offers wonderful spaces for reading and being inspired! Cambridge Public Library borrowers also have access to discounted tickets for many local museums, including the Science Museum, the Children’s Museum, and the Harvard Museum of Natural History - all great options if you are looking for an affordable, local vacation destination!
I look forward to seeing all of our children back at school on Monday, February 25th!
Sincerely,
Chad Leith,
Principal
