We are starting a winter coat drive. We welcome donations of new or gently used coats and boots. We would appreciate the donation of a stand up coat rack for good or for the short term. Thank you!

LOST & FOUND
Starting this Friday and every Friday thereafter, Todd will be emptying the lost and found bin in front of the big Gym. Please check it out by then if you are missing any items.

BRRRRR...
Please make sure you dress your children for the weather. Many children show up at school under dressed. If your child is in need of a coat, please let me know and we can help out.

–  tech goes homeTech Goes Home
Tech Goes Home is an amazing opportunity that Peabody offers families at the Peabody School and throughout the District. Here are some photos from this school year’s (so far) courses. We served almost 30 families this school year alone.

Celebration of Diversity
Our Peabody Lobby will be transformed this week into our yearly celebration of our rich diversity. You can expect to see representations of holiday celebrations from many of the cultures at our school. You are invited to share an item or two that represents an important holiday to your family. During this time we will also have our “Giving Tree” set up. We welcome new hats, gloves, mittens, scarves and earmuffs to decorate this tree. All are welcome to help themselves to items as needed. At the end we will donate what is left to families in need.

garden
Garden Update
The garden is being put to bed for winter, but there is still a lot to explore. Most plants have been removed for the year, the flower bulbs and garlic have been planted for next spring, the winter rye has sprouted, and the garden beds have been mulched with leaves & straw to protect the soil through the winter. We've also constructed a hoop house in the garden! The plastic covering is tightly clamped to seal in the warmth from the sun and to protect plants from the elements. This allows us to extend our growing season and be ready for next spring with radishes, spinach, lettuces, herbs, and more. Stop by and take a peek!

veterans day
November Events at Peabody:
Veterans Day
On Monday, November 5th, the Peabody and RAUC Communities unified to honor Veterans Day. There was music, poetry and inspirational speeches. As is our custom, we “adopted” two veterans for the day: Sergeant Timothy Norton and Sergeant Siobhan Murphy. It was a great day.

November Events at Peabody:
Turkey Trot
Our first indoor Turkey Trot was great fun for all! We started with a walk that included friends from Special Start through Grade 2. We continued with a Fun Run for students in Grades 3 - 5. Lastly, we had grade level competitive races. It was a great way to kick off the Thanksgiving Break, Peabody Style!
