Making Connections
As you may have noticed, CPS is working on many ways to support family connections—with schools, with student learning, and with one another. This past Monday night, October 20, CPS held the second session in the family engagement planning process that launched last June. Over 50 parents and families joined the planning team and community partners to discuss priorities for building effective partnerships between schools, students, and families.
We’ll share more about the results of that session very soon. As always, we’d love to hear your feedback! You can share your ideas, concerns or questions with the Family Engagement team by emailing [email protected].
Family Contact Books: It's Not Too Late!
Did you see the flyer, receive an email, or get a phone call inviting you to sign up for your school's directory of family information? Been meaning to sign up?
The deadline has passed, but it's really not too late. CPS will accept online sign-ups through next Tuesday, October 28.

Please note that although you can unsubscribe from Family Engagement News and other email newsletters, your children's school will continue to share important information by email, phone, and/or in your child's backpack. The ParentLink system is mandatory for all families, because some announcements are too important to miss--such as school closings, early release days, and other critical updates.
