Estimadas familias,
El incendio del fin de semana pasado fue trágico. Aunque nuestra comunidad de Amigos no fue directamente afectada, tenemos presentes a todas las familias y residentes de Cambridge que han sido desplazados.
Con las vacaciones de invierno acercándose, quisiera recordarles a las familias sobre nuestro protocolo para vacaciones extendidas. En Amigos, le pedimos a las familias que notifiquen con antelación a la directora y a los maestros de cualquier plan de viajes extendidos. Todo trabajo asignado por los maestros deberá ser completado antes, durante o después de los viajes. Entendemos que a veces estas circunstancias son difícil de evitar, sin embargo no recomendamos el estar ausente a la escuela de manera abundante. Estudiantes que pierden cantidades significativas de instrucción, aprendizaje y evaluaciones pueden atrasarse en sus grados.

Dear Families,
Last weekend’s fire was tragic. While our Amigos community was not directly affected, our hearts go out to the families and residents of East Cambridge who have been impacted.
With the winter vacation approaching, I want to remind families the protocol for extended vacations. At Amigos, we ask that families notify the principal and classroom teachers in advance of any extended travel plans. All academic work assigned by teachers will need to be made up before, during or after travel. While we understand that at times it is difficult to avoid, missing an abundance of school is not recommended as students who miss significant amounts of instruction, learning and assessment may fall behind in their grades.
