Volunteers Needed for Book Fair
The Book Fair is fast approaching and we need your help! The fair is the week after Memorial Day, Tuesday May 31- Friday, June 3. The Fair is open to shoppers from 8:15AM - 3:30PM (except for Friday, June 3, when we close the fair at 1PM). If you would like to volunteer, please sign up online

Second Grade Poetry
Greetings from Second Grade! Ms. Casassa and Ms Sousa’s second grade classes have been working hard. Following our non-fiction unit we began our poetry unit. We read many poetry books and truly enjoyed them. The students practiced writing a variety of poems. We wrote acrostic, haiku, cinquain, friendship poems, free verse; I am poems, diamante, and many others. Here are some samples of our work. Enjoy!

Kids ages 9-11 can join the Books & Bites book club at the O’Neill branch of the Cambridge Public Library. 
On Wednesday June 1 at 6PM we will discuss the book One Crazy Summer by Rita Williams-Garcia, eat pizza, and reveal the book for next time. Pick up a copy of the book at the library today!
