This Week We Hear from Our 5th Grade Teachers...
The school year is off to an excellent start! We are enjoying getting to know each other, and working on building a community both in our own classrooms, and as an entire fifth grade cohort. Read more >>
School Council Elections!
Elections for School Council are coming up soon. The main responsibilities of being a member of School Council are:
--Act in an advisory position to the Principal
--Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards
--Assisting in formulating a school improvement plan
This is an elected, voluntary position. The School Council is made up of Administrators, Staff, Faculty, Community Members and Parents or Caregivers. Meeting times are to be determined. There are currently three open parent/caregiver seats.
If this sounds like something you are interested in, please submit a request to run for election, along with a bio and why you would like to be selected. We hope you will consider serving the school in this important capacity.
