Building Closures Extended

Building Closures Extended
Posted on 04/21/2020
Dear CPS Community,

Earlier today, Governor Baker announced that school buildings in Massachusetts will remain closed for the rest of the school year due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Although school buildings will remain closed, this does not mean the school year has ended. Our educators will continue to support distance learning and students are expected to engage every school day.

We know that you may have many questions about what this means for your child, family and the CPS community. As we work to support current distance learning efforts and develop a recovery plan to support students’ academic and social emotional needs this summer and fall, we welcome your perspective. You will be receiving a 6-question survey from our partner, Panorama Education. Please share your family’s experiences and needs.

Remember that many resources are available on our website, CPS @ Home. Please share any questions or comments to [email protected].

Thank you for your support and partnership.

Sincerely,

Kenneth N. Salim, Ed.D.
Superintendent
