kathieTwo members of the CPS faculty ran in Monday's Boston Marathon, in honor of important issues in our community.

CRLS Teacher Kathie Nyholm ran as part of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center team, to raise funds for women's healthcare at the hospital. On her CrowdRise/GoFundMe page, she wrote about overcoming difficult medical issues and qualifying for the Boston Marathon after her first marathon last spring.

kevinCRLS History and Psychology teacher Kevin Dua, who was named Massachusetts National History Teacher of the Year, made local headlines this past week as he ran the 2018 Boston Marathon in honor of his students.

In interviews with local media, Dua took the opportunity to highlight an important issue within CPS and around the country: the impact and importance of educators of color in public education.
