Posted on 05/31/2022
The Cambridge Public Schools is delighted to announce that it will celebrate the first Community Pride Day in the district’s history in recognition of LGBTQIA+ Pride Month. The event will bring together Cambridge students, families, educators and community members to celebrate queerness, queer identities and the LGBTQIA+ community.

“Cambridge Public Schools is proud to share our first Community Pride Day,” said Chief Equity Officer Manuel J Fernandez. “It is so important that we affirm and celebrate our queer and trans students. The ways they challenge us to re-examine our assumptions about how we "should" be and how they make our community brighter by shining their light is an inspiration to us all.”

The event will be held on Friday, June 10 at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, located at 459 Broadway, from 3:30 to 6:30PM. It will feature guest speaker, Ericka Hart, a black queer femme activist, writer, highly acclaimed speaker, and award-winning sexuality educator, as well as other featured presenters and workshops for students grades six through 12.
