Thank you to the Cambridge City Council, School Committee, Finance and Budget, families, staff, and greater Cambridge Community for their continued support in developing a budget capable of supporting the dynamic needs of our community.
We invite you to explore the budget using our online budget tool, which allows you to view allocated spending for the district, various schools, and departments.
Thank you to all of our families, students, and community partners who attended the Summer Kick off /Community Social last Thursday. It was great to connect families with various resources to help engage their student over the summer.
As a reminder, there will be no school on Monday, May 26 in observance of Memorial Day. The next edition of the CPS Connect will be shared on Tuesday, May 27.
Sincerely,

Author Visit at Peabody

Grade 5 students at Peabody welcomed this year's Newbery Award winner, Erin Entrada Kelly, to their library. She shared At Last She Stood: How Joey Guerrero Spied, Survived and Fought for Freedom. This nonfiction book combines themes of the Philippines, World War II, spy stories, immigration, disease and medicine, racism, perseverance, and hope. Students each received a signed copy of the book thanks to our community partnership with Porter Square Book Foundation.
