At 3PM on Sunday, December 4, City and state officials met to continue coordination of the fire response efforts. City and state agencies and officials met today to discuss the emergency response.

A number of families are being temporarily housed at area hotels, and the school department has arranged a bus to transport those students to school in the morning. Emergency assistance has been distributed by the Red Cross and more cash assistance and other supports will be available through the Cambridge Mayor’s office.

As of 6PM, relief efforts will be coordinated by the Mayor’s Office and City Manager’s office. Families in need of assistance may contact 617.349.9484 for more information. Updates will also be posted on their website

Tomorrow at City Hall from 8:30AM to 8PM affected families and individuals can access a variety of supports and services including:

  • Emergency and longer-term housing assistance
  • Low-interest loans for property owners and renters
  • Transportation assistance
