Eligibility Criteria
Who is eligible for transportation to school?
- Preschool (4 year old only) through grade 5 students who must walk one mile or more, and all grade 6-8 students who must walk 1.5 or more miles to attend their assigned schools.
- All Preschool (4 year old only)– grade 5 students who must cross Massachusetts Avenue.
- All Preschool (4 year old only)– grade 8 students who must cross Fresh Pond Parkway, McGrath Highway, or Alewife Brook Parkway, or who must cross the railroad tracks at Sherman Street.
- High school students may take public transportation to school at a discounted fare.
- Upper school students may request a discounted public transportation pass from their school main office.
Door-to-door specialized transportation is available for students with disabilities, experiencing homelessness, or other special circumstances.
