Student Registration Center
The Student Registration Center (SRC) serves as the central intake point for student registration, processing more than 1,200 student applications each year. The SRC supports the flow of information in multiple languages to incoming families about CPS, district policies, Department of Human Services Programs, and other city resources. The SRC educates families about the Controlled Choice program and maintains student enrollment data and school waitlists.
The registration period for grades K-8 for the next school year starting in September 2026 (SY26-27) opened on January 5, 2026.
Registration Options
Option 1: Families can register in-person at the SRC office by completing a physical registration packet.
Option 2: Families may fill out forms digitally or print and complete all forms and submit scans or photographs of all registration materials, including required documents, via email to the SRC.
SRC staff members are available to answer questions by phone and email Monday through Friday, 8:30AM - 3:30PM. Please call us at 617.349.6551 or email us at src@cpsd.us.
Please do not use the post to send any school registration forms, documents, school records, hardship appeals, transfer requests, etc. to the SRC.
